Multiple reports are now suggesting that Real Madrid and Manchester United have agreed a deal for David de Gea to leave the Premier League side and join the Spaniards, in a move thought to be worth between around £29m, with Costa Rican international goalkeeper Keylor Navas moving in the opposite direction.

The player himself was already in Madrid, flying out early to meet up with his international team-mates in the Spanish capital tomorrow - allowed the early flight thanks to not being involved in Manchester United's defeat to Swansea on Sunday evening.

It was reported last week that the Spaniards were fairly confident of picking up De Gea before the transfer window slams shut, and it looks as though that confidence was well-placed as talks pick up at exactly the right time

The only sticking point in the deal was the gap between what United want and what Madrid are prepared to offer, which Jorge Mendes was said to be attempting to smooth out between the clubs in the meeting in Madrid.  It seems that has now been solved with the Red Devils accepting Keylor Navas in part exchange.

De Gea's personal terms are reportedly agreed, with the 24-year-old now thought to be desperate to get away from United and Louis van Gaal, with whom he's said to have fallen out over the way the move has been handled.
