Watu ishirini na saba(27) wanashikiliwa na Jeshi la polisi mkoani Pwani, polisi mkoani humo walianzisha operesheni ya kukamata wahalifu kwenye mapori mkoani humo.
Wahalifu hao walikamtwa na bunduki mbili, risasi 153 ambazo inaaminiwa zimetumika kwenye matukio ya uhalifu.
Baadhi ya wahalifu walikutwa na soketi tatu za milipuko.

Twenty seven people have been arrested in an anti-crime raid in Coast region that also led to the finding of two guns and 153 bullets believed to have been used in different crime acts.
The suspects were arrested after a manhunt in the region’s forests that aimed at driving out criminals, Coast Region Police Commander Jafari Ibrahim told media on Wednesday.
“We carried the operation following an increase number of criminal cases in our region,” he said adding, “this is an ongoing process, we will not hesitate to arrest anyone who commits crimes and destroy peace in our area.”
Commander Ibrahim said other suspects found with knives, swords and three circuits of explosives.
During the operation, police also seized 18 sack of marijuana, 124 kilograms of qat, three machines used in making fake bank notes and ivory.
